restless, skittering eyes,
a nod, a glance,
poorly hidden surprise;
rising voice, taut fingers,
gestures young in the older,
head forward, ram-style,
stance dismissive, eyes colder:
The language of movement
often opposing the word,
betraying the tenor
of messages unheard.
